Kathryn was such a dear and cherished friend. I have missed her since moving to Florida, but I loved seeing her last summer when I was home for a month and a half. She invited me to eat breakfast with her every day that I was home. We had many wonderful visits and laughed and cried together. She was an exceptionally brave person after losing her husband, David. I know she missed him very much, but she was strong. What a great lady! She brought joy and happiness to everyone her life touched. She helped many students get a good start in school and was loved by them. I hate to think this is goodbye, but I believe I will see her again in that land where there is no more pain, unhappiness, or goodbyes. So I will say, "So long, Kathryn, my friend, fare thee well until I see you again."

We both had Mrs Depue as our 2nd grade teacher at Lincoln School back in 1974. She was a wonderful teacher. She truly made an impact on all the lives that she touched. To this day, we can still sing "Gone fishin, that's the sign upon the door!" with smiles and happy memories. May your love and memories of her bring you comfort and peace in the days and weeks to come.....

so sorry to hear of Kathyrn's passing. I believe she graduated with my sister Shirley. I had no idea she had lived so close to us and even went to Lake Erie College in Painesville where we live. We could have visited her lots of times. So sorry to all of her brothers.
