Steven Scott Arsulic

It is with profound sadness that we share Steven Scott Arsulic, 55, passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2022 at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio.

Steve was born on May 12, 1966, in Geneva, Ohio, the son of John and Maryjane (May) Arsulic. Steve received his bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University and his master’s degree in Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

He married the love of his life, Erin Michelle Buckley on July 5, 2003 in Roaming Shores, together they shared eighteen wonderful years of marriage and 6 children.

Steve worked at Millennium Chemicals for twenty-two years before God called him to full time ministry in 2013 . He was the Pastor of Outreach and Discipleship at Eagleville Bible Church in Rock Creek, Ohio, where God used him to impact countless lives for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Steve’s love and dedication for his church was endless and abundant; he was the Head of the Trustee Board at Eagleville Bible Church, spearheaded all small group bible studies, organized several missions trips and the annual Wild Game Feast. He participated in Relay for Life, was a member of the Jefferson Area Ministerial Group and supported Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). He was an ardent advocate for the recovery movement in our county, leading Celebrate Recovery for over 15 years. The lives transformed and impacted through this ministry cannot be measured. He also held many positions on the boards of the Ashtabula County Concerts of Prayer, GO International and RAM (Remote Area Medical).

Steve had many interests: he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, boating, water activities, bicycling and boisterously watching Ohio State Buckeyes football!. Steve was a passionate leader in all areas of his life, particularly his faith, family and friends. The profound impact of this loss will forever be felt by those who knew and loved Steve. Yet he would not
want us to mourn as those who have no hope!

He is survived by his loving wife, Erin Arsulic, his beloved children: Steven R. Arsulic, Gabe S. Arsulic, Jacob T. Arsulic, Zach J. (Stefanie) Sirrine, Kayla R. (Michael) Patacca and Stanley P. Sirrine, his grandson, Liam Patacca and his siblings, Deborah (Kevin) McKnight and Thomas (Chris) Carleton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Arsulic and Maryjane Carleton, his brother, James Arsulic and his step-father, Thomas Carleton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00p – 8:00p with a funeral service on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00a at Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 State Route 45 North, Rock Creek, Ohio. Pastor Bill McMinn will be officiating the service.
