Giving back and paying it forward brought her joy.
Sally had many interests; she enjoyed reading, vegetable gardening, tending to all of her many varieties of plants and flowers and was an avid bird watcher.
She loved to travel with her husband Don crisscrossing the country from Alaska to Newfoundland, Canada, from Ohio to Florida, Texas and California and everywhere in-between. Costa Rica and Africa being the most fulfilling trips. She enjoyed hiking through the forests, along the lakes and rivers she visited and all of the wildlife and scenic vistas she encountered along the way. She loved canoeing every chance she got everywhere she traveled.
Sally moved from Ohio to Turkey, NC, where she and Don bought a farm so they could be closer to her son, wife and grandchildren in Wilmington whom they dearly loved. Sally enjoyed the farm life.
