Patricia Osburn Obituary

Patrician Ann Osburn, age 89, of Ashtabula, Ohio was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7th, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born March 11th, 1930, in Conneaut, Patricia was the daughter of the late Henry G. Nielsen and Mildred Emma (Rich) Nielsen.

Graduating from Conneaut High School in 1948, she played baseball and was an outstanding player.    Patty married her first husband Kenneth Richard Kendall June 25th, 1950.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. It was said she made the best cabbage rolls in town.  Having friends and family over for parties and picnics was another enjoyment of hers.  She married her second husband, Carroll Osburn on June 22nd, 2974.  They traveled extensively to many different countries and enjoyed going on cruises as well.   Her love of the Lord could be seen by the many things she did to help others around her.  Even with the sickness of Alzheimer’s, she could be seen reaching out and enriching the lives of those around her.  Patty worked 23 years for Buckeye Schools at Braden Junior High in the school cafeteria until her retirement in 1990.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashtabula where she served as a deaconess doing God's work.   She was also a member of the Sheffield Star Grange No. 1610.

She is survived by her three children, Deborah (Dale) Snyder of Concord, Ohio, Kathleen Kendall Hunt of Boardman    and Richard Kendall of Williamsburg, VA.; grandchildren Geoff (Katie) Snyder, Lindsay (Nate) Crosby, Carly Snyder, Matthew Jaskela, Megan (Sean) Elder, Mackenzie Burkhardt, Natalie Kendall, and Jamie Kendall. Great grandchildren Nolan Snyder, Susie,Emmy, and Clara Crosby, and Malachi, Ezekiel, and Irie Rose Elder. Sister-in-law, Donna Kauffman from Conneaut and brother-in-law, Glen (Nancy) Osburn from Ashtabula. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Patricia was preceded by her first husband Kenneth Richard Kendall; her second husband, Carroll Osburn, brothers Duane Hubert Nielsen, Henry Richard Nielsen, son in law, John Hunt.
