Marjorie (Prentice) Coutts

Marjorie Prentice Coutts passed away February 28, 2023 at Independence Village Avon Lake, Ohio.

She was born February 23, 1926 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Allan and Evelyn Prentice.

On September 7, 1946, Marjorie married her husband H. Donald Coutts.

She was a faithful member of Second congregational United Church of Christ- Ashtabula and a member of Child Guidance Group. She also loved to volunteer for the Red Cross and Ashtabula General Hospital.

She is survived by daughters- Connie Stanbery of Avon Lake, Dan and Cindy Priest of Ashland, Kunna Hilbrands AFS exchange student and son-in-law Martin Kata of South Carolina, grandsons- Scott and Nicole Standbery – Bobby and Lily, Kevin and Michelle Priest- Anna, Abby and Isaac, Mark Standbery- Ben and Emmett, Justin and Kelsey Kata and Jackson, Christian and Amanda Kata- Natalie and Luke, Kory and Molly Priest- Savannah, Martin and Samantha Kata- Frances.

Preceded in death by her husband, H. Donald Coutts, daughter Cary Kata, and son-in-law, Robert Standbery DVM, sister, Ruth Mason and brother Lt. Merrill Prentice and her parents Allan and Evelyn Prentice.

Calling hours will be Saturday, March 11, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd. With funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
