On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, Kenneth H. Lehto, loving husband and father of two daughters, passed away at the age of 79.
Kenneth was born on January 23, 1941 in Geneva, the son of John and Mary (Hunnakko) Lehto. He graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1959. On July 20, 1968, he married Mary Ann Fink. Kenneth worked at Rockwell Brake Plant in Ashtabula and at Kennametal in Orwell. He also enjoyed farming, raising cattle and goats.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Ashtabula Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved to study the Bible and to share his hope for the future with his neighbors. He had a very firm faith in a resurrection of those who have died to a paradise on earth as found in the Bible. One of his favorite scriptures was Revelation 21:4, “God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry, nor pain be anymore.”
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary; daughter, Sharon (Jeff Cordi) Lehto of Northfield and daughter, Karen Clement of Portland, OR. He was preceded in death by his father; mother and brother, Carl.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11/28/20 at 2:00PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Don Mack of the Ashtabula Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses leading the service via Zoom (contact the funeral home for the Zoom link). Burial will be private in Oakdale Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday, 11/27/20 from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines and masks are required.
