Judith "Jay" Ellorda (Cui) Lamson

Judith “Jay” Ellorda Lamson, 79, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2021 at her home in Jefferson, Ohio.

Jay Was born on July 13, 1942, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Pio A. and Mary C. (Ellorda) Cui. 

After graduating High School, Judith married the love of her life Larry R. “Butch” Lamson on July 17, 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Jay and Larry moved from Honolulu and spent all of their years together in Jefferson.  

Jay has many interests and hobbies: she enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her flowers, volleyball, softball, badminton, and Judo. Jay was a caregiver to many different elderly members of the community for many years, forming lifelong bonds and friendships with their families.

Jay is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Teresa R. (Douglas) Munjoy of Hastings, Michigan; her grandson, Jared (Paige Little) Martonhegyi of Middleville, Michigan; her siblings: Ronald Cui of Honolulu, Reginald (Nadine) Cui of Honolulu, Estrellita (Herman)Ferreira of Honolulu, Michael (Paul) Cui of Los Angeles and Emilynn (Chris) Brown of Alabama; and her loving companion Michael Headley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry “Butch” Lamson in 2004 and her son, Tracy S. “Sam” Lamson in 1986.

Funeral services will be held on September 11, 2021, at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson St.Jefferson.  The family will receive guests from 1:00-3:00 with the funeral starting at 3:00.  Inurnment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Ashtabula Co. APL or to Bella Care Hospice.  The Fleming Billman Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for the Lamson family.
