Jeanette L. (Turner) Bellas

Jeanette L. (Turner) Bellas, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving children.

She was married to Robert Bellas for 53 years before he passed away in 2019.  Her favorite times with her “Babe” were dancing and they danced the nights away. 

Survivors include her seven children, Robert (Kathy) Bellas of St. Augustine, FL, Bryan (Tracy) Bellas of Geneva, Christine (Jason) Lakomiak of Chardon Twp., Brett (Christina) Bellas of Rock Creek, Brad (Elizabeth) Bellas of Colorado Springs, CO, Cheyenne (Kevin) Sterling of Tecumseh, MI and Blane Bellas (Leah) of Rock Creek; 13 grandchildren.

Jeanette dreamed of being a wife and mother – nothing brought her more joy.  She was a leader in discovering and acknowledging the best in people.  She was rich in building people up and giving compliments. She touched more lives than she understood.  Countless people called her Mom, Aunt, and Godmother who were, in fact, not related.  She was an expert at finding goodness in others.  Her children know she was a wonderful mother to many, the loudest cheerleader for those she loved, a caretaker, the keeper of faith, a great dancer, a feeder to the hungry, a faithful friend, Mother, Aunt, Babu and wife. 

Ordinary people can be a miracle and now she is our angel watching over us.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio 44047.
