James Kenneth Skufca

James Kenneth Skufca, 94, passed away on May 4, 2023, at his home in Ashtabula, Ohio.

He was born on December 10, 1928, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Diemer) Skufca.

After graduating from high School, James enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country for four years.

On January 10, 1953, he married the love of his life, Patricia Paulino; they recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary.

James worked as a Supervisor for LCP Chemicals for almost thirty-nine years before retiring in February of 1991.

James had many interests and hobbies: he enjoyed hunting, collecting antiques, making collectible teddy bears, roller skating, gardening and most of all he enjoyed being a father.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his beloved children: Julie A. (Tim) Herron, Gregory J. (Stephanie) Skufca, Karen Dubach and Brenda Skufca; his sister, Katherine Riley; his eleven grandchildren and his thirty-one great, grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Bernard, Arthur, Raymond, Joe and Paul Skufca and his grandson, Cody Skufca.

James will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a private family service.
