Doris M. Kuhar, age 92, Geneva Twp., died Tuesday evening at her residence.
She was born July 14, 1927 in Saybrook Twp., the daughter of Edward & Ruth Helen (Goodell) Spade and has been a lifetime area resident. Doris was married to Raymond Kuhar on May 15, 1947 in Geneva. They together, owned and operated Office Furniture and Carpet Co. in Geneva for several years.
Mrs. Kuhar was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Geneva, in the past she enjoyed quilting, reading, golf, coloring and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Survivors include four children, Donald E. Kuhar of Geneva, James A. (Rebecca) Kuhar of Ashtabula, Carol A. (Jon) Holloway of Geneva & Kathryn L. Kuhar of Geneva; six grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Andy, Beth, Julie & Sara and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond in 2012; brother, Gordon Spade and sister, Vivian Spade.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva with the Rev. Mick Gilliam with the Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating. No calling hours will be observed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, whom is honored to serve the Doris Kuhar family.
