Donald W. Lawrence
JEFFERSON – Donald W. Lawrence, 71, passed away on September 7, 2021 following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Ashtabula on June 4, 1950 the son of Warren and Marjorie (Anspach) Lawrence.
In 1971 Don proudly enlisted in the US Army and started a 37-year career serving the country he loved. Following his retirement, he worked for Jefferson Village at Oakdale Cemetery and then as a salesman for the Amish Shed’s and Carport Company.
On September 24, 1994 Don married Linda Altman, the love of his life and his loving bride of 27 years.
Don enjoyed so many things in life; he enjoyed jumping on the Harley with Linda and hitting he open road; he loved to travel, especially to Maui, Cancun, and Punta Cana, he loved to entertain guests at the house and everything that had to do with Christmas, including putting lights up around the house. And, he absolutely loved food, he would plan his vacations around eating at the best restaurants. The only thing he loved more than all the things already mentioned was his family; especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving family; his wife Linda; his children: Sandi Pratt, Eric Lawrence, and Joni Hardin; his grandchildren: Katelyn (Wesley) Short, Cierra Lawrence, Noel Lawrence, Evan Lawrence and Madelyn Kellogg; and his great-grandkids: Waylon and Jolene Short.
