Diane L. (Wilson) Rannigan of Ashtabula, OH passed away following a lengthy illness at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her loving family on April 13, 2021.
Diane was born in Caro, Michigan on November 21, 1958 the daughter of the late Ervin and Patricia Wilson. She is also preceded in death by her brother David Wilson.
Diane is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, James Rannigan, daughter Jennifer (Thomas) Overmier and grandchildren Wyatt James and Riley Lynn of Ashtabula, son James (Kara) Rannigan of Indiana, sister-in-law (and caregiver) Stacey Rannigan, brother-in-law Richard Rannigan and estranged sister Deborah (Doug) Young of Michigan.
Diane was a 1976 graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School. Diane and her family were members for Fairgrove Presbyterian Church where she served at secretary before relocating to Ohio with her family in 1996. Diane was also employed with the Ashtabula Country District Library until 2018. She enjoyed reading, trying new recipes but most of all spending time being surrounding by her family and grandchildren. Diane was a true example of courage and perseverance to her family especially in the last few years.
The Family would like to thank all the Cleveland Clinic, especially the L-Vad team, the staff on J5-3 (where Diane spend much of the past 3 years) and the 5th floor ICU unit for their care and support. The family would also like to thank friend and caregiver Joy Pishcura, and her family for their support these last few years.
Visitation will be Saturday (April 17th) from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.
