Dennis Frank Nappi, 62, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2021, at his home in Florida. Dennis was born on October 25, 1958. He was the beloved son of Frank and Ann (Chicatelli) Nappi. Dennis spent the majority of his life growing up and living in Ashtabula. He was a 1977 graduate of Harbor High School. From there Dennis worked for the family’s grocery store until his entrepreneurship led him to open Nappi’s Roller Den. Dennis shared in his Dad’s love for Christmas lights and helped him with his annual displays, adding to it each year. He enjoyed hunting and playing on and sponsoring local softball leagues. Dennis loved Corvettes and birds, especially Macaws. Some may even remember him frequenting Geneva-on-the-Lake in the summer months with his Macaw. If you knew him in Florida, you may have seen him at Fort Myers Beach or experienced photo sessions with his bird Atlas through his newest business venture Parrotise. Dennis was always up for lending a helping hand to anyone and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his two loving daughters Chelsea Thornton (Shane) and Nina Nappi; two grandchildren Brody and Blaire Thornton; siblings Pat Guarracino (Mario), Cindy Piras (Gian), and Fran DiDonato; nieces Wendy Nagy (Todd), Tricia Yaipen (Rafael), Maria Guarracino, Renee DiDonato Lynch (Eric), and Ashton DiDonato Czepiel (Matt). He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Ray DiDonato.
