David E. Renn, 75 of Plymouth Township died Thursday (August 11th) at the David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid, Ohio after a short Illness. He was born July 21, 1947 in Ashtabula the son of Adolph and Betty (Harper) Renn and has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a 1966 graduate of Ashtabula High School and the Cleveland Engineering Institute in 1969. He was a retired carpenter with Local 435 and had also owned Renn’s Clark Gas Station for 12 years.
David was a veteran of the US Army during the Viet Nam war. He was a member of the Jefferson Conservation Club, American Legion Post #103 in Ashtabula and Harris Memorial Church. Surviving him is his wife Barbara (Tanner) Renn whom he married October 4, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Ashtabula; three daughters, Haley Renn of Denver, Stephanie (Jacob Harnett) Renn of Denver and Molly (Casey) McMurray of Columbus; three precious grandchildren, Matthew David, Brennan Edward and Calan Charles; two sisters, Deborah (Robert) Fabian and Pamela (Jeffrey) Harting and a brother-in-law, Ed Tanner.He was also survived by an aunt, Lorys Crawford of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be Saturday (August 20th) at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, 4353 Park Ave. Ashtabula with Rev. Joseph Woods officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville with military rites being conducted.
Calling hours will be Saturday (August 20th) from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church.
