Daniel L. Coursen

Daniel L. Coursen, 76 of Jefferson, peacefully passed away with his family by his side, Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was born July 26, 1945 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Flo (Verdi) Coursen.

He was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and had been employed with Millennium in Ashtabula until his retirement.

He was a member of St Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ashtabula where he was very active.

He enjoyed fishing for trout and all types of gardening especially flowers. He loved to feed everyone especially family spaghetti dinners. He was also a joker and loved teasing people.

He was a loving husband to Darlene who he loved with all his heart.

Surviving him are his three children, Lisa (Keith) Severino, Amy (William Aaron) Coursen and Michael (Lori) Coursen; Five grandchildren, Geoffery (Selina) Maunus, Anthony Charles, Tre’ (Kelsey) Scruggs, Brianna Scruggs and Tayler Coursen.; three great grandchildren, Arion, Aziah and Micah; a brother, Ronald Coursen, a mother-in-law, Jennie B. Davis and a brother-in-law, Thomas Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Darlene in2015 and by two brothers, Douglas and Terry Coursen.

Funeral service will be Monday (Jan. 17th) At 11:00 am St Peters Episcopal Church, 4901 Main Ave. Ashtabula with Father Peter Nielsen officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. A private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Plymouth Township.

The church requires masks and social distancing for the funeral and visitation.
