Betty June (Calaway) Kiss

Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend. Betty June Kiss, 87, joined her heavenly father on February 4, 2021.

Born on July 17, 1933, to Raymond and Elizbeth Calaway, and was raised during the wake of the Great Depression and the second World War.

She married Geza J. Kiss, and they had ten children.

Betty was known for her avid love of God and family above all else and her passion for angel figurines. She was an avid bird watcher, and one could often find her outside watching the birds nesting in her favorite tree. Having never met a stranger, she was always making friends with everyone she met and always treating others with kindness and respect. Recognized the counties over for her fantastic cooking, she loved nothing more than to have her house filled with her children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was never averse to doing a coloring page, making homemade playdough with the children, or even building a fort in the living room. Nothing made her happier than a phone call from her family, letting her know how they were doing. 

Betty is survived by her children, Kathy Benton, Elizabeth Imbordino (Robert), Karen Wojciak (Edward), Barbara Blansfield (Earl), Anna Fishwick (Paul), Sharon Kiss (Gary Ishman), Geza Kiss (Maureen), Lilian Kimmell (Rusty), and Ed Gracyk. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Geza J. Kiss and two children, Frank “Scooter” Joseph and Mary Gracyk 

Services will be held at the Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson on Monday, February 8, 2021. Calling hours will be held at 12:00 pm, with the funeral directly following at 1:00 pm.
