Andrew J. Laituri

Andrew J. Laituri, 69 of Ashtabula died January 11th at Somer Hospice House in Sebring, Florida after a long illness. He was born March 18, 1951 in Ashtabula the son of Mauri K. and Cora (Mackey) Laituri.

He was a 1969 graduate of Harbor High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Dyke College.

He had been employed by RMI Titanium and Ashta Chemical as Safety Director until his retirement.

Andy was past president of the Ashtabula Safety Council. He was an avid photographer and loved biking and walking. He was often seen walking all over town.

Surviving him is his wife, Janice (Osborne) Laituri whom he married August 19, 1972; two daughters, Megan (John Lipnos) Laituri of Parma, Ohio and Meredith (Kiersty Redder) Laituri of Largo, Florida  and a grandson, Lincoln Kaarlo Severino. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be Saturday (January 23rd) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula.

Face covering is required and social distancing is recommended for the calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at River Ranch RV Resort in Red River Ranch, Florida where they reside in the winter.
