Alfred Lee Eager, 78, passed away on June 27, 2022, at his home in Ashtabula, Ohio. Alfred was born on April 16, 1944, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Howard and Lucille (Grandbouche) Eager.
Alfred graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1962. In 1964 he married the love of his life Judith E. Creed, at the Saybrook United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the Air Force. He worked at True Temper and did construction with his son Jeff, for Eager and Son Construction Company. Together they remolded many homes and built a couple of houses. Alfred had a very strong Christian faith. He loved music and was a choir director for the church, he taught Sunday school and loved to teach the youth of the church. His favorite pastime was reading and studying his bible. He was an active member of Peoples Alliance Church prior to becoming a member of the Kelloggsville Church of The Nazarene. He was always a pleasant happy person so, his family nick named him “Sonny.”
He is survived by his loving wife Judith, his children Kimberly K. Eager, Kelly A Eager, Jeffrey (Joanne) Eager. Grandchildren: Cody (Megan) Eager, Hunter Eager. Johnathan and Amanda Moore. Great grandchildren: Ariah, Caleb, Alexa and Heaven. And his sister Patricia Erter.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and Roland Eager, Ronny Eager, Luella Smith and Jay Eager.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 1:15p at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273
