Willie Belle Greene, 86 of Andover died Monday (June 18th) at Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, OH after suffering a major stroke. She was born March 17, 1932 in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Edward and Arlene (Smith) Washington and has lived in the Andover area since 1977 coming from Cleveland because her husband had a new home built for her.
She loved children, cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, animals and singing. She was a very active member and volunteer at Hiawatha Church of God in Christ in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Surviving her are her nine children, Charles C. Greene III of Cleveland, Albert C. (Barbara) Greene of Cleveland, Maynard W. (Millicent) Greene of Texas, Lawrence W. (Alicia) Greene of Los Angeles, CA, Michael K. (Patricia) Greene of Cleveland, Alison L. (Gregory) Brown of Bedford Hts, Darcelle (Lenora) Wordlow of Cleveland, Terrence U Greene of Cleveland and Charisse L. (Mustafa) Ali of Geneva; a whole tribe of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, close family friends and three companion cats “Meow”. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Chambers Greene in 2009 who she was married for over 60 years; her daughter, Gail Molden this year and two brothers, Jim and Cleveland and two sisters, Mary and Bertha.

Funeral service will be Friday (June 22nd) at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 West Jefferson St. Jefferson, Ohio with Pastor David Howard, JR. officiating. Burial will in Padanarum Cemetery in Richmond Township.
