Rosilyn J. Parker, age 83, Garrison Rd., Plymouth Twp., died early Thursday morning in the Hospice Unit at Ashtabula Co. Medical Center after being admitted on Wednesday.
She was born May 27, 1935 in Lenox Twp., the daughter of H. Ray & Jessie H. (Smith) Reinhart. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School. Rosilyn married Harold L. Parker on May 27, 1955 at the Lenox Federated Church.
She is a member of the Eastside Presbyterian Church and the Red Hat Society, her enjoyments included sewing, quilting, reading, gardening, baking, playing domino’s and all the family visits, gatherings and functions.
Survivors include a son, Timothy R. (Kim) Parker of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, John, Larry & Justin; two great-grandchildren, Rielly & Kylie; a brother, William R. Reinhart of Ashtabula; three sisters, Clarice Ann (Richard) Taft of Howland Twp., Carol S. Reinhart & Janet A. (Dale) Schall, both of Ashtabula and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces & nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold in 2000; a son, Russell in 1979 and a nephew, Eric Chapman in 1985.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 5:00 PM at the Eastside Presbyterian Church, 3440 Edgewood Dr., Ashtabula with the minister, Rev. Michelle Bartel officiating. Burial will take place in Lenox Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00-5:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Eastside Presbyterian Church (above address) or to the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Dept., 1001 Plymouth Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004, envelopes will also be at the church.
