Mary Lou (Meade) Plut

Mary Lou Plut, age 72 of Jefferson, passed away into God’s loving and eternal care on Wednesday at her residence.

She was born February 5, 1946 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Albert C. & Grace L. (Bassett) Meade and has been an area resident all of her life.  Mary Lou was a graduate of Jefferson High School.  She retired in 2009 from NCS Healthcare in Mentor.

Mary Lou was actively involved at the Eagleville Bible Church, enjoying Bible studies and volunteering at the church food pantry.  Her favorite time was being with her family.  Her friends were also important to her.  She worked at the election poll, enjoyed playing board games and cards, gardening, cooking, canning, crocheting and ceramics.

Survivors include five children, Kevin S. (Jessica) Bailey of Lenox Twp.; David C. Bailey of Jefferson, Craig A. (Vanessa) Bailey of Washington, GA, Thomas W. (Gwen) Plut of Moorestown, NJ & Amy L. (Daniel) Krage of Willoughby; 10 grandchildren; her former husband and friend, Wayne T. Plut of Kingsville; three sisters, Anna Pinney of Geneva, Ethel Dumperth of Jefferson & Carol (William) Evans of Green; two sister-in-laws, Janice Meade of Jefferson & Elizabeth Meade Badger of Massillon and a brother-in-law, Boyd King of Cuyahoga Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William & James Meade and three sisters, Evelyn Pheasant, Martha Swanson & Ruth King.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 A. M. at Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45 N., Rock Creek with Pastor Bill McMinn officiating.  Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery, New Lyme Twp.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-6 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W.
