Johnnie L. Lambert, age 87, State Rt. 46 South, Lenox Twp., died Thursday morning at the UH-Geauga Medical Center.
He was born September 8, 1930 in Helen, WV, the son of William & Lorraine (Quesinberry) Lambert and has been a resident of Ashtabula Co. since 1947. Mr. Lambert is a 1985 retired employee of Union Carbide. In early years he worked in the coal mines in West Virginia. His pastimes and enjoyments include being with his family, wood working, mechanical work, welding, fishing, camping & gardening.
Survivors include five children, Debbie (Ed) Basham of Jefferson, James (Janet) Lambert of Kingman, AZ, John Lambert of Jefferson, Barbara (Dennis) Patterson of Jefferson & Bonnie (Moses) Harris of Dorset Twp., seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and three sisters, Gladys Milleson of Sandusky, Fayleen Utt of Beckley, WV & Brenda (Robert) Weikle of Columbus.
His parents, his wife, Betty L. (Wortman) Lambert, whom he married on February 12, 1954 in New Lyme Twp. and five siblings, William, Charles, Eddie, Shelby & Margie all preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 A. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with the Rev. Mick Gilliam of the Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta Twp.
