Grace E. Blough, age 90, E. Beech St. resident in Jefferson, died Tuesday morning at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.
She was born April 20, 1929 in Charleston, WV, the daughter of Gay & Edith (Fitzwater) Newhart and has lived in Jefferson most of her life. Grace owned Rainbow Flowers and was a self-employed florist for 25 years.
She was a member of the First Community Church of God in Ashtabula, the Jefferson Grange #1311 more than 50 years and Jefferson Garden Club. She enjoyed crafting and going to area craft shows, making many covered bridge and Christmas crafts by woodburning. She also enjoyed camping, painting and making greeting cards.
Survivors include two daughters, Ellen J. (Laurence) Benham & Janet E. Lipps, both of Jefferson and many loving nieces and nephews, including David R. Baird of Jefferson, a nephew who has been very helpful and generous.
Her parents; her husband, Charles A. Blough in 1998; a son-in-law, Larry Lipps in 2018; two brothers, Dencil & Dave Newhart and a sister, Beulah Baird all preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with retired pastor Harold Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
