Eric Erwin Friedrich

Eric E. Friedrich, age 88 of Hillyer Drive, Jefferson, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Jefferson Healthcare Center.

He was born October 27, 1931 in Lenox Township to Ernest W. and Elizabeth (Reiter) Friedrich.  A Lenox resident for 67 years, he moved to Jefferson in 1998. 

Eric was married to Marian I. Poling November 28, 1954 in Williamsfield, Ohio. 

After growing up a dairy farmer, he worked several years at Douglas Lumber Co., and then 35 years in the offices of Cochran Oil Co., Ainsley Oil, and Western Reserve Farm Co-op, retiring in 1996.  He served as secretary of the Lenox Twp. Zoning Commission for 14 ½ years and secretary of the Grange Bowling League at Grand Valley Lanes for 15 years.  He enjoyed his family, his grandchildren, and was a lifelong Indians and Browns fan, and a former Jefferson Grange member for 45 years.

He is survived by three children, Gary Friedrich of Jefferson, Chris (Mary) Friedrich of Farmington, Mo., and Linda (Rod) Butcher of Jefferson, and four grandchildren, Collin & Steven Butcher of Jefferson and Dean and Jessica Friedrich of Farmington, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marian in 2010, sisters Elsie Dodson, Esther Downs, Evelyn Wolf, Elinor Friedrich, and brothers Ernest C., Earl W. and Edwin R. Friedrich.
