Dorothy Irene (Timms) Fink

Dorothy I. Fink, age 97 of Geneva, died early Sunday morning at Joy’s Place Assisted Living in Munson Twp.

She was born July 1, 1922 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Joseph & Florence (Clark) Timms.  She lived in this area much of her life and retired from Premix in 1987, then resided in Amory, MS for 25 years before returning to Geneva in 2014.  While living in Amory she was active in St. Helen’s Ctholic Church parish and volunteered with the AARP and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, organizing, adopting homeless animals and traveling.

Survivors include five children, Irene F. Whetson of Rock Creek, Gerald M. (Phoebe) Fink, Jr. of Amory, MS, Geraldine D. “Nub” Sauvageot of Ashtabula, Dale J. Fink of Geneva & Kelley A. (Michael Lanstrum) Fink of Middleburg Hts.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Anna L. Bartlett of Kingman, AZ and a sister-in-law, Violet Timms of Indianapolis, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald M. Fink, Sr. in 1987 and a brother, Joseph Timms.

Memorial services will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00PM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant leading the service. Private burial of ashes will take place in Gageville Cemetery.
