Beatrice Violet (Wise) Grassi

Beatrice V. Grassi, age 97, died Sunday morning at her residence in Jefferson Twp.

She was born October 26, 1922 in Munson Co., AL, the daughter of Bur & Lena (McNutt) Wise and has lived in the Jefferson area the past 17 years, coming from Bellevue, OH.  Beatrice was married to Carl Grassi on July 20, 1954 in Milan, OH.  She is a 1975 retired employee of the General Electric Corp.

Mrs. Grassi attended the First Baptist Church and was an “award winning” quilter.

She is survived by a sister, Clara Williams of Columbus, IN; a grandson, Roger (Wanda) Jordan, Jr. of Tiffin; four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Robin, Steven & Roger “Buck” and six great-great-grandchildren, Marcus, Arianna, Landon, Drew, Mchael & Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; three children, Larry Wilson, Roger Jordan and an infant, Lacy Burl Wilson; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ben Wise and a sister, Edna Rumbley.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, 12/10/19 at 3:00 PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with retired Pastor Ed Pickard and Pastor Kevin Phillips of the First Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue, OH.
