Jane Mead Silva passed away March 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 7, 1941, to Kenneth and Helen Mead.
A 1963 graduate of the College of Wooster, she was employed for a short time as a teacher with the Ashtabula School System then left to raise her family. In later years she was employed by Buckeye School System, from which she retired. She was active in many community clubs, including Readers, Garden and Woman's Club of Ashtabula. She volunteered with Red Cross and (as a Grey Lady) at the Ashtabula Hospital. She was a lifetime member of Kingsville Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder and Deacon. She also served on the Kingsville Library Board for many years.
Jane is survived by her husband Lynn, children: Kristine (Michael) Taylor-Pindel, Robert (Tracy) Taylor, Rebecca (Ryan) Taylor-Schwotzer. Her grandchildren, Amanda, Robert, Benjamin, Sarah, Andrew, William, Shelby and Jared.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her first husband Robert Taylor.
Calling hours are Friday, March 15, 2024 at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home in Ashtabula from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday March 16, from 2:00pm-2:30pm with funeral service following. Burial is at Lulu Falls Cemetery in Kingsville, Ohio.
