Myra Kampf, age 81, of Rome Township, died Thursday at Eagle Point Nursing Home in Orwell.  She was born April 23, 1935 in Cleveland, the daughter of Merlin and Adelene (Pinchbeck) Marshall.

She has been a resident of the Orwell area since 1974 coming from Cleveland.  She enjoyed golf and played at Hemlock Springs and was a member Hickory Grove Golf Course for many years.  She was a member of the Jefferson Lanes bowling teams.  She and her late husband, Raymond owned Kampf Apartments. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, many days she would be on the golf course with her great-nephew or cheering her great-niece on at a basketball or softball games.  She will always be remembered for her smile and ability to talk to anyone.

She is survived by her twin sister, Marie (James) Maylish of Rome Twp., step-daughter, RaeAnn Kampf of Rome Twp., step grand-daughter, Heidi (Devin) Baumgart of Chardon, a niece, Sharie (Don) DeVore of Rome Twp., a nephew, John Russ Sirrine of Rome Twp., great-nieces & nephews, Audrie (Jeremy) Roush, Skye (Charles)Best, Brett (Lauren) DeVore , Seth Pirc and Adam & Ava Sirrine and many great-great nieces, nephews and grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her longtime friend and caregiver, Miriam Brewster Mullet and Sam & Katie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond H. Kampf in 2001 and a nephew, Walter Pirc.

Private graveside services will take place at Rome Center Cemetery on Monday with certified celebrant Alisa Nierzejewski leading the service.

A private family visitation will take place prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P. O.
