Lois H. Hoback, 88 of Ashtabula, Ohio died Thursday (Sept. 1st) at Saybrook Landing. She was born April 6, 1928 in Cleveland the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Otters) Riehl.

She was a graduate of Trumbull Memorial Nursing School and was a Register Nurse for Ashtabula County Medical Center for 23 years retiring in 1987 and she also was a nurse for the Homestead Nursing Home in Geneva.

She was a member of the Twins Club of Ashtabula. She enjoyed dancing especially ballroom, line dancing and jitterbug; she also enjoyed crafts, sewing, cross stitch, candy making and camping. She loved being with her children; grandchildren and their families.

Surviving her are her seven children, Patricia (Edward) Swanson of Beaver, Pa., Bradley Hoback of California, Brian (Lisa Brown) Hoback of Washington, Pamela (James) Stockton of Sanford, NC, Barry (Roberta) Hoback of Camp Hill, PA, Terry (Tina) Hoback of Andover and Jerry (Ruth) Hoback of Andover; a daughter-in-law, Debra Hoback of Conneaut; thirteen Grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Hoback, Jr in 2002; a son, Howard Hoback in 2003 and two sisters, Marge Whalan and Eileen Clint.

Visiting hours will be Monday (Sept. 5th) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula. At her request there will no funeral service.
