Elbert F. Hinkle

Elbert F. Hinkle, age 76, Summers Rd., Windsor Twp., died Monday morning at the UHHS-Main Campus in Cleveland.

 

He was born August 1, 1940 in Ocoonita, VA, the son of Jacob C. & Almedia (Carroll) Hinkle and has been a resident of Lake and Ashtabula Counties much of his life.  He was married to Joann M. Bramley on October 31, 1971 in Willoughby.  Mr. Hinkle was a retired machinist from MSC Industries and continued part-time work with Hartsgrove Machine.

 

He was a member of Temple Lodge #28 in Painesville.  His hobbies included music, woodworking, antique tractors and computers.

 

Survivors include his wife, Joann, five children, Veronica (Duane) Paullin of Huntsburg Twp., Chuck (Betty) Hinkle of Kirkland, Scott (Suzzette) Hinkle of Orwell, Robin (Mike) Spangler of Jefferson & Laura (Gerald) Pataki of Rome Twp., 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Emogene Thomas & Geraldine Selph, both of Jacksonville, FL & Jacqueline Bauerlein of St. Petersburg, FL and two brothers, Leonard Hinkle of Willoughby Hills & Emory Hinkle of Dayton.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Roberta Hammonds.
