Brenda S. "MawMaw" Hopson, age 68, W. Ashtabula St., Jefferson, died Tuesday afternoon at her residence after being diagnosed with lung cancer one month ago.

She was born February 28, 1949 in Logan, WV, the daughter of Emma Baldridge & Walter Hensley.  Brenda has resided in Jefferson the past two months, coming from Cleveland.  She had worked for many years at health care facilities while living in Cleveland.  Brenda was an avid Browns, Indians and Cavs fan.  She enjoyed having her Pepsi Cola and a cigarette.

Survivors include four children, Angela F. Doss of Cleveland, Brian L. Hopson of Brandon, FL, Charles L.  Perry, Jr. of Willoughby Hills & Connie S. (Thom) Busch of Jefferson, eight grandchildren and soon to be another granddaughter, one great-granddaughter and two brothers, Timmy (Brenda) & Terry (Dreama) Hensley, both in Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Charles Cross and four brothers, Gregory, Freddie, David & Jimmy Hensley.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 2-5 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W.
